Copyist job on Wayne Shorter’s new opera Iphigenia

To work in one way or another with on of the most prolific living artist and legends in jazz, Mr. Wayne Shorter is every musician and composer’s dream. My dream came few weeks ago! I am officially working as a copyist on WAYNE SHORTER’s upcoming opera Iphigenia! 

In past, I worked on music of Jack DeJohnette, Ron Carter, Reggie Workman, Jane Ira Bloom, Jimmy Owens and others, but working on Wayne Shorter’s music is of course the pinnacle of what can be done in this career and for sure the biggest responsibility I have ever taken on.

For a young composer, this is probably the best lesson one can ever receive.
